The IC-TECH curriculum is different from the traditional IT curriculum in that the former is a complete subject-oriented program of study specifically designed to reinforce the core subject skills via the computer while the latter focuses on the computer as an object of study . Each subject-integrated IC-TECH activity contains meaningful themed assignments that enhance the learners’ skills in language, arts, mathematics, geography, science, social studies, general knowledge and visual arts courses. The interactive software packages used in IC-TECH cover the core learning skills required in each curriculum unit along with the requisite computing skills for a particular class level. All the IC-TECH courses have been programmed to ensure that the students take interest in the learning sessions, for example, simulation or animation exercises, for better understanding and mastery.
