In the pursuit of its vision of “Teaching Through Technology” envisaged by no less than the Managing Director and CEO Dr Farzana herself, The City School has unveiled more additions to its string of accomplishments in order to set the vision to concrete beneficial action. In the pursuit of its vision of “Teaching Through Technology” envisaged by no less than the Managing Director and CEO Dr Farzana herself, The City School has unveiled more additions to its string of accomplishments in order to set the vision to concrete beneficial action.
Among the activities and training programmes lined up to ensure the attainment of this vision are:
The City School and Intel® Partnership – The promotion of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) integration in the teaching-learning process can only be realized by training the trainers. Corollary to this belief, Intel® and The City School have joined hands in equipping school heads and teachers with the latest skills and methodologies that are expected to make the delivery of instruction at par with the needs and abilities of the students and the demands of the times. Through the Intel® Education Initiative, The City School heads and teachers shall be introduced to the ways and means of utilizing and applying technology in the curriculum, beginning with effective academic and lesson planning, then gradually, ushering into the 21st century learning skills that will transform teacher-dominated classrooms to student-centered learning.
Course and Learning Management System - Very recently, The City School launched Course and Learning Management System or C/LMS to supplement teacher-led classes with teacher-facilitated online and state-of-the-art technology. With the introduction of C/LMS, The City School has brought its students and teachers closer together in a safe and secure environment that can also be shared with parents so that they too can login and participate in what their child is learning and doing.
